The Master of Science in» Curriculum & Instruction
degree programme which involves advanced
study designed to enhance the knowledge
and skills of» Curriculum & Instruction Administrators,
Trainers and Teachers in elementary,
middle, junior high, and senior high
schools.
Course Objective
Offers students the opportunity
to explore the ways in which knowledge
and skills developed in the programmes
enhance classroom experience.
Faculty
Instructions will be provided
by full time faculty from the campus
in Miami, Florida. Local lecturers
or tutors will be utilized where appropriate.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must hold or qualify
for a professional teacher certification.
All applicants must also satisfy
Board of Admission requirements.
- Applicants must hold a bachelors
degree in some area of» Curriculum
& Instruction. A 3.0 GPA in
the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate
study..
- Two letters of recommendation
and an interview with programme
faculty are also required.
- A candidate for admission to the
programme will be judged not only
on the basis of quantitative criteria
but also in relation to prior experience,
especially as it relates to future
career goals

college /university attended
- Two (2) letters of
recommendation
to support your application.
- Statement of personal philosophy/professional
goals
- A non-refundable US$30
application fee
PROGRAMME SCHEDULE
- Duration
: 13 - 14 months.
- Saturdays 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
& Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Textbooks and Materials
All prescribed textbooks
and materials will be provided by
UCC and the Florida International
University (FIU)
Tuition Fees
The overall cost is $12,000
USD (subject to change). A deposit
is required upon formal acceptance
to the programme. Tuition and fees
are due at the beginning of each module.
Tuition and fees cover textbooks/materials,
access to FIU online library, full
internet access and a five day mandatory
field trip to Miami (Hotel, airfare
and transportation). Fees are subject
to change at short notice.
Student Loans
Applicants may apply for an international
student’s loan through the International
Education Finance Corporation (IEFC)
in the USA or Canada. No collateral
or security is required, but interested
applicants will need to identify a
US or Canadian co-signer to guarantee
the loan. Application forms and brochures
are available at IMS and IMP offices.
Transfer of Credit
Students may transfer no more than
6 hours for their Master’s Degree
programme. All transfer credits must
be approved.
