ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In general the CEMBA programme
requires the following:
• Residency within the Commonwealth
countries (where the programme is
offered)
• A working knowledge of the English
language at the post-graduate studies
level
• Successful completion of the CEMAT
(where required)
Bachelor degree - GPA < 2.5
Minimum 3 yrs working experience;
Commonwealth Executive Management
Achievement Test, (CEMAT) required
Bachelor degree
- GPA > 2.5
3 yrs working experience; CEMAT waived
Without a Bachelor Degree
Significant managerial working
experience required - at least 5 yrs in
executive positions; other professional
qualifications acceptable; CEMAT
required; certain pre-requisite courses
may be required to be taken at the UCC.
In selecting participants, the
Admissions Committee considers the
following:
•Demonstrated managerial experience and
effectiveness
• Potential for significant growth
• Ability to contribute to the study
team and class participation
• Ability to do graduate work
• Maturity and motivation
• Ability and willingness to make a 12 month commitment
(full-time students)
Ability and willingness to make a 20 month commitment (part-time
students)
Admission Test (For applicants
without a first degree or those with a
degree but whose GPA < 2.5)
The Admission Test is conducted on
pre-announced dates. It is designed to
provide an additional dimension of
measurement for Candidate selection for
this rigorous and demanding Programme of
study. Successful completion is one of
the essential criteria determining
eligibility for admission into the CEMBA
Programme.
The Admission Test consists of
multiple choice questions designed to
test applicants’ capabilities in the
following spheres:
• General Awareness
• English Language
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Reasoning
The Institutional Supplement provides
information about test centres, dates
and schedules.
CEMAT Prep classes will be conveniently
offered by UCC for interested
applicants. Ask your Programme Director
for details.
TUITION/ FEES:
The cost of the programme is US$12,500*.
*subject to change
A US$ 250 non-refundable deposit is
required upon acceptance to the
programme. Payment of the balance can be
paid in installments in accordance with
the Approved Payment Schedule.
Participants who leave the Programme
receive no refund. All cheques should be
made payable to the University College
of the Caribbean.
N.B. Interim payments should be
negotiated with the Student Financial
Services Dept. until loans are finalized.
“Returning UCC students who
registered after January 2004 can
benefit from a 5% discount on the total
cost (i.e tuition only), providing that
at least 50% of the total fee is paid
full upfront”.

Assessment
Assessment in each course of the
Programme consists of two components:
• Continuous Assessment
• Term-end Examination
Application Procedure
Individuals interested in applying for admission to the
UCC/COL programmes should submit the following:

Complete application form
- Official transcript(s) from every
college/tertiary institution/university attended to be sent to 6 Belmont Road, Kingston 6
- Certified copies of academic certificates
- Non-refundable UCC (IMS/IMP) application fees are required.
Student Loans
Applicants may apply for a student’s
loan through any of the following
institutions:
• First Global Bank
• COK Credit Union
• National Commercial Bank
• Churches Credit Union
• Student’s Loan Bureau
• GSB Credit Union
• Ministry of Finance (Government
workers only)
