Course Objectives

  • A degree with an international flavour set within a strong social science framework

  • Examines specific examples of social action, social processes and institutions; looks at different methods of social research at both theoretical and practical levels

  • Develops critical skills for a wide range of real world professional situations

  • An excellent preparation for a career in teaching, media, journalism, development, social work, marketing and personnel management

  • Flexible study programme, not limited by any one particular class time or geographical location

Faculty

  • Instructions will be provided by an eminent and highly qualified team of local faculty and other professionals. Overseas/international guest lecturers will be utilised where appropriate

Target Group
This degree programme is specially designed for persons:

  • Who are seeking to build a career path in teaching, media, journalism, development, social work and other areas
  • Who have recently left high school who wish to pursue a career in the field
  • Who intend to pursue further studies in the area.

Programme Description

  • An upper level component of specialised study in sociology. On completion of this component the student will be awarded the BSc. in Business Administration
    with specialization in Sociology.
