Course Objectives

Examines specific examples of social action, social processes and institutions; looks at different methods of social research at both theoretical and practical levels
Develops critical skills for a wide range of real world professional situations
An excellent preparation for a career in teaching, media, journalism, development, social work, marketing and personnel management

Faculty

Instructions will be provided by an eminent and highly qualified team of local faculty and other professionals. Overseas/international guest lecturers will be utilised where appropriate

This degree programme is specially designed for persons:

Who are seeking to build a career path in teaching, media, journalism, development, social work and other areas
Who have recently left high school who wish to pursue a career in the field
Who intend to pursue further studies in the area.

Programme Description

An upper level component of specialised study in sociology. On completion of this component the student will be awarded the BSc. in Business Administration
with specialization in Sociology.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold either an associate degree or equivalent, or be admitted through the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) route for mature and experienced candidates.

Class Structure

Part-Time: Early Bird (Mornings) or Evenings or Sundays.
