HOW THE DISTANCE EDUCATION & GLOBAL LEARNING PROGRAMME WORKS

Modus Operandi of the Programme		Lectures & Tutorials
A 24 hour educational gateway will be established to deliver UCC modules and degree programmes by way of Internet Video streaming, Cable TV and other technological modalities. Students will be able to interact with their lecturers via email, mobile or land-line telephone or with call centre assistance.		An exciting aspect of the Distance Education and Global Learning initiative will be the ability of students to have the benefit of receiving lectures from experts and professionals drawn from around the world who will deliver new, diverse and global viewpoints and perspectives via Internet Video Streaming. Face to face tutorial sessions may be offered as the course dictates.
		Student Assessment
		Students will be assessed by a combination of end of semester examinations, course work and research projects. All examinations will be administered at UCC campuses and designated centres throughout the island.
