Product Development & Research
•
Coordinates the review, rationalisation
and development of the curricula of all
IMS and IMP programmes.
• Spearheads the research, design
and development of new products and services.
• Spearheads the securing of the
Accreditation of Programmes and the Registration
of the Institutions.
• Liaises with the Accreditation
bodies in particular the University Council
of Jamaica (UCJ) to ensure the maintenance
of quality standards.

Franklin Wright - Business Development
Department
The
Business Development Department was
established with the objective of offering
practical solutions to position companies
for success.
It provides Customised Training, Seminars,
Organisational Development, Market Research,
and conduct Employee Perception Surveys
to corporate clients in Jamaica.

The International Programmes Department
The
International Programmes Department
currently offers degrees from several
universities namely Florida International
University, University of Florida,
Florida State University, University
of Maryland Eastern Shore and the
University of London. Undergraduate
degrees (upper division only for some
degrees) are available in Management,
Law, Hotel and Restaurant Management,
Banking and Finance, Information Systems
and Management. Graduate degrees are
available in Accounting, Education,
Engineering Management and Computer
Engineering. Services provided by
the department include student and
faculty support as well as ensuring
up-to-date communication in decision-making
with the universities.

Sandra Prince - FIU HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
& UNF BBA
This
unit is responsible for providing student
support services for both UNF BBA and
FIU BSc Hospitality Management. These
support services include, but is not
limited to, academic advisement, scheduling
of lower division courses, recruiting
local faculty to lecture both lower
and upper division courses, maintenance
of student records, preparation of transcripts
and other correspondence, arranging
hotel accommodation and ground transportation
for overseas professors, liaising with
relevant universities regarding changes
to programme schedules etc., assisting
with the planning of graduation ceremonies.

Jacqui Williams – FIU EMBA Coordinator

Jacqui Williams - Programme Coordinator
for the FIU EMBA Jamaica programme
with direct responsibility for providing
logistic and administrative support
for the FIU EMBA, liaise with students
and faculty and contribute to the
efficient management of the programme.



The Local Programmes Department
This
department co-ordinates the Diploma
programmes which are currently offered
through our offsite locations at Ardenne
High School in Kingston.
We also have responsibility for the
Associate Degree in Business Studies
and the BSc. in Human Resource Management.
Processing of student applications,
student queries, requests for letters,
reports and transcripts are handled
through our department.

The IT Department
The
IT Department plays a very integral
role in the total operations of The University College of the Caribbean
as it relates to student and staff information
systems and technology. We are a team
of 4 members who are well committed
and dedicated to our work.
One of our primary responsibilities
is to offer professional & timely
user support to our students; ensuring
that their Information Technology needs
are met, so that they are able to use
and access the information needed as
they pursue their academic goals.
